On December 7, 2009, the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) released a report titled An Economic Tsunami: The Cost of Diabetes in Canada, which introduces an important new tool in the fight against diabetes in Canada - the Canadian Diabetes Cost Model. Novo Nordisk Canada provided an unrestricted educational grant to the CDA for this project.
